Windows USB Devise not recognised

Hi all, I have updated my Pine controller a number of times in the past. I always have problems finding the right usb cable to get the update of the firmware successfully completed. I always find a suitable cable to complete the update.

It has been some time since I updated the Pine Controller. I was going from V2.1 to V3.1.

I put the controller in Update mode and attempted to update the firmware.

I tried numerous USB cables mostly without any "connection" success.

I did find a suitable USB cable but when I inserted the usb cable into the Pine unit and then into my laptop, I got the following Windows message:

"The last USB devise you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it.

Try reconnecting the devise. If Windows does not recognise it your devise may not be working properly."

What solution can you suggest? As the firmware was not updated or in any way corrupted, is there any way to reset back to the last active version?

Pine not found with Bossa

Hi,

I have the following problem. I like to install the lastest firmware, but even with the pine connected to my Mac Bossa does not show any connection which contains "usbmodem" as stated in the manual.

Unfortunately I already put my pine in update mode.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Make sure the updater tool works before you reset/erase PINE

Just as a note: Please make sure you can install and open our firmware updater tool on your computer BEFORE you reset/erase the controller over the app (under 'Connections'). Once the controller is in firmware update mode, the controller does not have any firmware in its memory and cannot be used until the firmware has been updated.

If you don't have access to a Windows PC, DON'T reset/erase the controller and try to update the firmware. An updater tool for macOS will be released in a while.

Firmware V1.1 is not a mandatory update and only affects the 3D-Scan mode. If you are not using this mode, you can skip this firmware version as it will not affect your regular use with PINE.

I tried to start the Firmware_Updater, but Windows does not allow it.
The error says "Diese Anwendung wurde vom Administrator blockiert, da sie potenziell ein Sicherheitsrisiko für Ihren Computer darstellt".
Even with UAC, Defender and Firewall disabled there's no way I get it running.

Now, Pine has no firmware on it.

Any tricks I can use?

Hi there,

just tried to download Version 1.1 to update the Pine Controller.

"https://blackforestmotion.com/data/download/Pine_V1_1.bin" gets an error 404 page not found.

Just for info: Version 1.0 is working.

Can you please fix the link or add the file to the webserver?
