Hi,
I've got severe connection issues using my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ running Android 10.
When I open the app to connect to my Pine R controller (running v2.1), the controller is found but the app hangs on the connection pop-up for ever.
Rebooting the phone and controller does not make a difference. I've tried re flashing the firmware on the controller but that does not make a difference either. Uninstalling and Installing the app again does nothing.
After the first connection attempt, the controller can't be found again.
FYI: I have never gotten the controller to connect to the phone at all.
The bluetooth LED flashes once and stays dark after that.
Best Regards
Hog
Hi
Just a quick update trying a different device.
I've tried connecting to the controller using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 running Android 8.0.0 and this works fine.
I will soon be testing a Xiamo Redmi Note 8 Pro and I'll report in this thread.
All the best
Hog
Sorry but I was in a hurry typing the first post. Here is a small correction:
The phone that I am using is a Samsung Galaxy S10+ (not a Note 10+)
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro running Android 9 works fine.
Any chance on getting the Galaxy S10+ going?
Hi Hog,
it is a know issue that Galaxy Series 10 devices have bluetooth issues. That usually happened after a newer phone update, as those devices worked fine in the past.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can change on the PINE Motion App. It is a device specific issue with Samsung.
Please check out the link below. We were able to resolve this issue by following those steps.

Let us know if any of these steps helped.
All the best,

Hi Patrick,
thanks for the the link! It worked!
Here are the steps from thedroidguy article I've done to get the connection working:
- Fix #3 - Wipe Cache Partition
- Fix #5 - Force Quit Bluetooth system app
- Fix #6 - Clear App Cache of the Bluetooth system app
FYI: Just wiping the Cache Partition does not work on its own.
This has been tested with the newest version of the Pine Motion App (v3.0.0) and controller firmware v3.0
All the best
