Hi everyone,

We just want to welcome everyone to this forum and say thank you to all who have supported our Kickstarter campaign or purchased a PINE unit through our online shop.

Pretty much all of the past orders have been shipped now and we can't wait to see some activity in this forum.

We have released Firmware Version 1.1. This firmware can be uploaded to the controller with our firmware updater utility which is located in the download section on our website: https://blackforestmotion.com/downloads/
Please take the time to read through the page und also the update guide before you start to update your PINE controller. Firmware updates are only possible with a Windows PC so far. Firmware files are located on our server to be accessed by the updater tool directly (make sure your computer has internet access for this option), or can be downloaded from our website and then imported to the updater tool.

Firmware 1.1 mostly brings improvements and bug fixes to the 3D-Scan Mode. So if you are not using the 3D-Scan mode, you might just skip this update. Additional feature include the option to execute reverse scans to allow for faster workflows (rather than having to move back to start each time). For this feature, you also need the most recent version of the Android App. The app should update automatically if you are connected to the internet on your phone.

For future firmware updates, we will make an announcement, and the smartphone apps will also notify you, if a new firmware is available, once you connect to your PINE (internet connection is needed for this notification).

We also started to send out invitations for the iOS Beta App yesterday. If you have not received an invitation email but ordered a PINE controller, please let us know in the comments or send us an email to info@blackforestmotion.com

Hi Patrick,

thank you for the information. I'll get my Bundle tomorrow, will update to the newest version (if it's not istalled already) and start testing.
